Assume the desire and don’t worry about the “How” - the story of the Neville Goddard Student on How she manifested her dream hat.
You must be thinking about this right now or you already did before.
Because I asked the same question when I wanted to manifest those pair of shoes I told you about in my last article.
And a lot of people I know wondered about the same thing.
When it comes to manifesting a car, a house, or any kind of materials.
We all asked the following questions:
- If I want to manifest a car or a house, shouldn’t I manifest the money first? Why can’t we touch the “how?
- How far can the law of assumption go and how powerful it can be?
To answer these two questions let me say this:
- “NO, You don't have to."
- Law of assumption can go far more than what you can ever think.
And just to make sure, I’m not the one who said this, but it is a straight answer from Neville Goddard to a beautiful young woman named Ann.
So, what happened with Ann and why did Neville say what he said to her?
Here is how the story goes...
We all know that Neville had a bunch of meetings and lectures and seminars.
And he was giving several powerful speeches explaining manifestation and the strength of assumptions.
And there was this young woman Ann.
She was attending all Neville meetings.
But one night after Neville gave his speech as usual, they somehow met at the corner of the Broadway & 72 street where she stopped him and told him about her story:
She was going on a walk one day.
And she came across a hat shop and noticed a beautiful hat from its window with its price tag.
The hat cost around $17.50, and it was a heck of an expense at that time. It is like saying 270$ in todays value of money.
Ann fell in love with this hat and she wanted it so much.
And because she was attending Neville meetings, she decided to apply the law of assumption and assume herself having that hat already.
She imagined holding the hat in her hand and wearing the hat.
She walked up the Broadway in this assumption.
And the crazy part is:
There was a brief breeze, and she assumed as if the hat fell from her head and she got down on her knees to pick it up.
And when she got home she imagined taking the hat off and putting it on her hat rack, the clothing shelf.
Ten days later, she was invited to lunch by her friend.
On the lunch table, there was a hat box that her friend brought for her and handed to Ann, saying: “I bought this hat but it didn’t look good on me, and I think it will look great on you Ann”.
Ann took the box and opened it and took out a beautiful hat, and not any hat, BUT that exactly hat.
Ann got the exact hat she manifested in that store she imagined how good it looks on her.
Then she asked Neville, why didn't God give her the money to buy it instead of giving it to me through a friend?
And Neville asked her several questions :
- Do you own anything to your friend Ann?
- Have you ever bought a 17$ hat?
- How much would and do you usually pay for a hat?
And she was answering only by saying NO all the time.
As while they were talking, he figured out that she owed 2 weeks' rent.
Then Neville said:
“Listen Ann, if you found a 100$ bill, you wouldn't have bought the hat but you would pay for the rent and maybe you would buy some groceries. You would have never bought that hat, so God knows best how to get you the hat.”
So, when we look deeply at Ann's story, it is like a full paid masterclass.
The first lesson Ann taught us is that those who recognize how powerful their imagination is and what the amazing things they can do with it, end up winning all the time. Imagination is not a fictional, but a landscape where you create your reality on your own.
The second thing we can learn is that you do not have to force or rush anything. She wasn’t forcing it, but she assumed and lived it already by putting it on and picking it up and then replacing it on the shelf. She felt her desire fulfilled. And that’s what I want you to do, assume your desire and you simply have it and enjoy it. Live it from its END.
Thirdly, she wasn’t looking for proof or evidence to prove her belief. And so you should do. Never worry about it. Let it come on its way.
And for the aspect of the money, if you’re not used to buying expenses and if you’re not used to buying that car or that house, when you get the money, make sure you will spend it somewhere else rather than spending on your desire. For this reason don’t worry about the “HOW”, just leave it to GOD, your higher self who will craft and best know how to fulfill it. Your job is to assume and believe only.
And the funny part of it is that if we look at it from another angle, as long as your goal is to have that thing you’re desiring. So, it doesn't matter whether you got the money to buy it yourself or somebody else did that, the important thing is, you will have it anyway, that matters.
As we said many times before, the Law of Assumption is a shortcut of the whole process.
